Next is a complete physical assessment which includes some or all of the following:
- Review your medical history.
- Dive into what’s bothering you and how it’s impacting your daily life.
- This is a no-judgment zone and we want you to be open and honest. We’ve heard it before, and we probably have a solution.
Next comes the comprehensive assessment, which includes some or all of the following:
- Looking at how you complete tasks or activities.
- Discussing your daily routine, lifestyle, and coping skills.
- Completing a comprehensive home assessment.
- Assessing your cognitive, or thinking skills.
Your OT creates a custom rehabilitation plan with you:
- You are an important part of the rehabilitation process.
- Your OT works with you and develops the best plan for restoring your function or modifying your tasks/environment to help you live your best life under the current conditions.
- We know you have a life to live outside of OT, and we do our best to accommodate your needs and preferences while providing excellent outcomes.
Start the journey of regaining your life and activities you love:
- We create a plan to improve your pain, sleep, thinking or concentration skills, or environmental barriers.
- The number of visits needed depends on your specific situation.
- We focus on restoring your ability to participate in tasks, adapting activities as needed, providing tools and equipment, and helping you get back to the activities you love.
